A Shared Journey in Art and Faith

For over two decades, a life shared in love and creativity has led Dwight and his wife, Dori, to this meaningful moment. A graduate of The Columbus College of Art and Design with a BFA, Dwight has spent over 25 years mastering watercolor and pen-and-ink illustration. His work—featured in galleries and shops across the U.S.—captures the charm of Americana through everyday objects, reimagined with playful scale, thoughtful composition, and a touch of humor.

Each piece is more than art—it’s a story. And behind every story is a shared faith that inspires and shapes their creative vision. Together, Dwight and Dori draw from their spiritual journey to craft artwork that brings joy, reflection, and a sense of home to every viewer.

Why the5:19project

Honoring a Life. Inspiring Others.

How do you capture a life as meaningful as Ian’s in just a few words? On May 19, 2019, the world lost a remarkable soul—our son, Ian. He was compassionate, selfless, and full of light. His quick wit, infectious laughter, and radiant smile left a lasting impression on everyone he met.

The5:19project was created in Ian’s honor—to carry forward his spirit of kindness, generosity, and joy. Through this small but mighty endeavor, we aim to touch lives just as Ian did, one handwritten message at a time. Each note is a reminder to encourage, uplift, and comfort others—reflecting both our faith in God and the beautiful legacy Ian left behind.

By sharing love in simple, meaningful ways, we keep Ian’s memory alive and continue the work he would have done: giving back, lifting and helping others, and spreading light wherever it’s needed most.
